Faculty of Arts Scholarship
The Vice Dean of Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University awards six and Department of Czech for Foreigners awards four three-month scholarships, each worth 8,000 CZK per month for studying Czech language, literature and culture. These scholarships always run from October to December of the academic year and are intended for students of foreign universities (Czech studies). Applicants should have a good knowledge of the Czech language in order to be able to follow the lectures and attend seminars conducted in Czech.
In exceptional cases this scholarship may be awarded to students of other subjects as well (psychology, sociology, English, German and Romance languages and literature, etc.). The awarding of this scholarship is conditional on the applicant’s appropriate agreement with their respective institution beforehand.
Application: A request, along with a brief CV and at least one letter of recommendation from a professor of the Czech language at your home university should be submitted no later than 30 April of the academic year. You will be informed of the outcome by 30 June of the academic year.
