The primary password is sent to all students after the deadline for applications, together with the login, your personal number (the so-called “UČO”). You will need the login and primary password to enter your “personal profile” in our university’s Information System.
It is obligatory to change the password immediately after receiving it. See the IS Guideline. If you lose your primary password or forget it, please inform your coordinator in the Centre for International Cooperation.
A secondary password is usually sent to students as well (together with the primary password). However, you can generate it in the IS yourself. Use any computer outside of the university, or computer No. 44 in the non-stop Central Computer Room on the ground floor of the Masaryk University Building (address Komenského nám. 2). Computer No. 44 is the only university computer you can use to create the secondary password. You can change the password if you find the generated version too difficult to remember. See the IS Guideline.
You will need the secondary password to log in to all the PC rooms at faculties. You will need it also to be able to establish and use your internet connection in the MU halls of residence. It also serves for wireless connection at the university (http://wifi.muni.cz).
