Accommodation in the halls of residence

If you would like to stay in our halls of residence, fill in the period of your stay in the last section of the online application form – the room will then be reserved for you. We recommend to arrive at the weekend before the orientation week. Please note you we can book the accommodation for you only within the academic year. The earliest day of arrival can be Thursday 6 September 2012 or Saturday 9 February 2013, the latest date of departure Friday 8 February 2013 or 28 June 2013. (Students who would have exams after this date, can extend the accommodation contract during the semester.)

Orientation Week

In the autumn semester 2012: Sunday 9 – Sunday 16 September 2012

In the spring semester 2013: Sunday 10 – Sunday 17 February 2013

The orientation week includes:

  • Registration with Office for International Studies
  • Welcoming reception and a party
  • Tour of Brno
  • City Game
  • Introductory talk on Czech society, culture, customs and humour :)
  • Trip to Macocha caves and Vyskov brewery
  • Introduction to Czech language (four afternoons)

If you decide to participate in this, just tick „yes“ in the appropriate section of the online application form. (Erasmus students do not need to fill in any other special application.) It is not binding, it is only for us to know, how many of students are interested. Later, after the deadline for online applications, you will be informed by a bulk e-mail on how to pay for the orientation week online in the online IS Shopping centre. Only after that payment, your participation is booked. Please note the number of places are limited.

International Student Club MU Brno o. s.
